Best time to Visit Mardi Himal Trek


Mardi Himal is a trekking destination in the Annapurna region of Nepal, known for its stunning views of the Himalayas and diverse landscapes. It is considered a short trek which usually takes up to 3 to 4 days, depending on the trek itinerary and starting point. One can traverse through, Australian Camp, Forest Camp, Low Camp and High Camp, Badal Dada, Mardi Himal Base Camp, Siding Village and Lwang Village while trekking as per the route you take.

Spring (March to May):

The optimum season for nature enthusiasts to go trekking in Mardi Himal is thought to be spring. The weather is pleasant and the temperature is mild during this season. The rhododendron woods’ full bloom is what gives the environment its bright and colorful appearance. The typically clear skies make it easy to glimpse the surrounding peaks. The trekkers traffic is high during this season in contrast to other seasons. Therefore, this season might not be ideal for you if you wish to enjoy trekking in quiet. When it comes to lodging, one may not have many options because nearly all of the lodges and tea rooms are quite crowded. 

Autumn (September to November):

Being the best time of year in terms of weather, temperature, and scenery, this is yet another fantastic season to explore Mardi Himal. Trekking is comfortable after the monsoon because of the clear sky and consistent weather. The traffic during this season is the only drawback, comparable to or even greater than that in the spring. The routes are well-marked during these seasons, and trekkers can find lodging and food at the open tea houses along the trail. Making reservations for dwelling before your trip is an additional advantage for a smooth trek experience.

Monsoon season (June to August):

Trekking during monsoon is best avoided as high rains can generate muddy and slick paths that can be challenging to travel on. Heavy rainfall and the gloomy weather block the view of the panoramic sights. Movement of trekkers is less at this time. If one plans to hike during monsoon, be sure to carry a waterproof jacket or raincoat or umbrella and proper boots.

Winter (December to February):

If you prefer to see mountains piled high with snow, then winter is the ideal time to travel to Mardi Himal. As the weather becomes chilly and the snow begins to cover everything, a winter wonderland is created. The surroundings get extremely dry even if the view is gorgeous with snow all around. With snow on the trails, it can be challenging to find the right path. Furthermore, snowstorms are a possibility. Except for these problems one can enjoy a peaceful and quiet trail. While trekking during winter one should carry down coats, gloves, caps and snow boots.


The best time to complete the Mardi Himal Trek are spring (March to May) and fall (September to November), when the weather is usually stable and the views are at their best.
